What Are You Listening To?

Today, as we welcome this new month, I have a question for you. What are you listening to?
Believe it or not the sounds we consume throughout the day and night help shape our lives. If we constantly hear words—whether it come from an external source or our own minds—that are uplifting and positive, we start to see the world in such a way. Let’s be honest here, for most regular people being positive and uplifting isn’t the first attitude we start the day with. Even if you’re generally a happy person, staying positive isn’t an easy thing to do. It’s something that has to be worked at constantly and sometimes we’re just not in the mood. (It’s OK to be honest, remember this is a safe place). Sometimes, being worried and upset is a more comfortable feeling. That’s when the things we listen to can come into play, literally.
Press play, on that podcast you’ve been putting off. On the sermon you’ve been meaning to listen to, or the song you can’t get enough of. Reading a book will help play words in your head. This month, I challenge you, to challenge the content you’ve been consuming. What can you listen to, that will help shape a life of positivity, patience, kindness and inspiration?
